Why Does Corporate America Hate Solar? They Can't Dominate It!

Why does corporate America hate solar, because they can’t dominate the industry the way they do every other industry. Every single home or building has to be retrofitted to produce solar energy which will involves many millions of jobs when the mission of 80% coverage is accomplished thirty years from now. This is a monumental undertaking which involves tens of millions of jobs over a long period of time. The reason home solar will create so many American jobs is because every home and business will have to be retrofitted. Consider that the home solar industry is in its infancy and will grow in popularity exponentially over the next 30 years.

It’s impossible to dominate an industry that requires so much labor force participation. No one company can magically create a method to dominate an industry like solar. This is really good news for American workers because we are about to lose entire job sectors to AI in monumental proportions. There needs to be something that requires manual labor and solar is one of those new sectors.

The Fossil Fuel Industry Can Not Compete With The Amount of Jobs Solar Creates

The biggest issue with fossil fuels is without question the negative impact they have on the environment. However, big oil also has another huge issue, and that’s how few jobs they create versus how many jobs the renewable energy sector creates. Over time, the number of jobs created overall by the solar industry will be in the 10’s of millions. The reasons are multiple, but let’s compare oil to solar on job creation. Just the fact that solar has to be retrofitted to every home, commercial buildings, public property such as streetlights creates more jobs than the entire fossil fuel industry ever has.

Now take into account all the materials involved in solar; Inverters, wiring, ladders, trucks, harnessing devices, and all the components the panels are made of creating manufacturing jobs.  Then there’s the finance side because not everybody can afford to pay cash for home solar. So the finance side of solar is creating a ton of jobs.

Last is the sales side of solar because there isn’t a storefront per se with solar, so it will have to be sold property to property. This requires a large workforce. The only way possible for solar to be scaled is through entrepreneurship training programs which create more jobs.

There's An Endless Sea of Job Opportunities With Solar

Since the tech revolution, there hasn’t been such an endless sea of opportunities presented to the American people. The domino effect of job creation from solar is literally endless. Yet, throughout this article, you have not read anything about the solar industry’s positive effects on the environment. I have stayed focused purely on the business aspect of the solar industry, but I want to point out a not-so-obvious benefit of solar? It’s rarely ever talked about in the media or public at large, but solar is going to have an amazing impact on “Noise Pollution.” Please forgive me, but I have this bad habit of conflating solar with electric powered everything, from cars to semi’s and everything in-between.

How can you compare a dozen scientists the fossil fuel industry uses to the continuing science of the solar industry, which has and will continue to create an immeasurable amount of jobs.

There's Is More To Home Solar Than Clean Energy It's a Perfect Investment!

There’s no question that home solar systems are a clean air solution for the environment. home solar panels are an excellent investment as well, because the money you invest is the money you already pay the power company every month. Everything about home solar is positive, clean energy that’s cheaper than dirty energy combined with the tax credit makes it a can’t lose opportunity. Bottom line is you can invest in solar and pay for it with the power companies money. It’s exactly the same as buying a house instead of renting.

The Solar Revolution Is Too Big for Wall Street To Dominate

All Wall Street knows is how to exploit industries to make money without creating anything. So the creation of grid-tie solar is baffling to Wall Street because it complicates where to invest in the solar sector. Utilities have always been a favorite for Wall Street; the solar industry is not because they can’t figure out a way to control it. But grid-tie solar is scaring away investors in the utility sector.

At the end of the day, the solar industry is a godsend for the small independent entrepreneurs because that’s exactly what we need right, better opportunities for all of us, not just a select few.
